The first half of the program is
the licensing of our copyright material. This allows you to
request excerpts or entire text and diagram sections of our books
to be able to make photo copies for the purpose of student
handouts. We license this information absolutely free so long as
our copyright and website appears somewhere on the printed
handouts. |
 |
The second part of our
teacher/instructor program is the newly finished (Scan-1,
Virtual-Engine and Component-Simulation) section. These software
components are entirely free of charge. The Scan-1 is a full
fledged OBD-2 scanner with extensive diagnostic capabilities. You
even have the ability to view O2 (Oxygen Sensor) signals in full
simulated-graphing mode. |
 |
The other two sections of this
software are the Virtual-Engine, which allows you to change PID or
engine parameters (ect, map, maf, load, etc) and have these values
reflected on the scanner window/section. The idea is to show the
student how the scan tool values change as the engine output also
changes. This integrated feature (scanner and virtual engine) can
go along way in exposing many diagnostic principles. |
 |
The third part of the software is
the Component-Simulation window/section. This section is also
totally integrated to the Scan-1 and Virtual-Engine. The
Component-Simulation section shows various oscilloscope waveforms
and wiring diagrams for the different components on an engine as
you keep varying the engine output values. Within this section
you'll see actual changing waveforms and interactive wiring
diagrams. The interactive wiring diagrams exposes the student in a
very simple way the behavior of the electrical circuit.

The Scan-1 software is used in
Simulation-Mode for in class training. As an instructor you may use
these tools to expose your student to the wonders of automotive
diagnostics and electronics in a very visual way.
