AutoScope-Multi™ 50 MHz Multi-Channel Oscilloscope System

(configure your own system up to 255 channels)

The AutoScope-Multi™ is a modular and expandable oscilloscope system, which can be expanded to over 200 separate and independent channels. So it can grow as needed. You can start out with one single channel and expand to a maximum of 255 channels. Each with a separate time and amplitude setting. Each channel is composed of one AutoScope-Multi box (seen here), USB cable and leds. So that a 6 channel AutoScope-Multi will be composed of 6 separate scope interface boxes and respective cables connected to a USB-Hub sold at any electronic store (average $20). It's that simple. The AutoScope-Multi is the same unit that's also used in the ECM-Ghost.

The advantage of this system is complete channel independence, inexpensive to acquire, electrically and ground isolated, can also be used with the ECM-Ghost, ease of connection since each unit can be placed anywhere in the engine compartment and ruggedness. (See the possible connection arrangement below).

The AutoScope-Multi works using the COMM-PORT assignments. All PCs today (old and new) have a maximum of 255 RS232 COMM-PORT channels. Hence the 255 channel limit. It is very unlikely that you'll ever run that many channels on your PC, but the capability is there. You will however very easily run 6 or 8 channels simultaneously. Today a six channel oscilloscope will run you over $6000.00, and they're all together. If the unit breaks you're out completely and it is impossible to control frequency separately with a different ground. This means that view a magnetic crank-sensor #1 TDC and injector signal together is out of the question. The AutoScope-Multi is not bound by these obstacles and is cost effective.

The unit is also equipped with our signal fault recognition technology. So if the unit detects a fault, it'll post it on screen. And, at 50 Mhz (100 Msps) it won't let any pesky electrical glitch escape. It ease of use is also a big plus. In most cases you won't even need to set the unit or even know how to use an oscilloscope. Just press a button and you're done. This is a simple automotive oscilloscope system that works. (This unit runs on any PC with Windows XP, Vista and 7. On older PC you may be limited if running more that ten separate channels, since transmission speed get slower.)
