Mr. BOB-DLC(Now Here!!!) (see below)
At Automotive Diagnostics & Publishing we engage is the research & development of test equipment. We are the only company that develops diagnostic equipment from a technical/repair perspective. We realize that most "Tool & Equipment" companies carry lots of overpriced equipment. Our company was founded by an auto-tech, so we know what you go through in purchasing the right tools. We fully develop and extensively test our products before giving it our stamp of approval. So what you need is what you get, at an affordable price.
Future scan tool software solutions will include the functionality and application of technology that will help identify what's wrong with your vehicle and not just give you data-stream and codes. The idea is to have a fully integrated diagnostic, information and invoicing system that'll help repair shops pin-point the problem, log it and generate the appropriate invoice for the repair shop. This is what we call a fully digitally integrated repair shop. The advantage is fast vehicle repair turnaround and customer satisfaction.

The ECM-Ghost (Coming Soon!!!)
That's right! A true automotive piece of equipment that mimics an actual ECM/PCM. How often have you been faced with the idea that your problem vehicle ECM may be faulty, but did know for sure. The end result is usually getting an ECM from the salvage yard or a rebuilt unit just to try it out. Some manufacturer service manual even instruct the technician to replace unit with the good known one.
What the ECM-Ghost does for you is to simply allow you to start the engine on a No-Start vehicle, verify that the engine has NO mechanical problems and proves that the ECM is indeed faulty. Here's how it works: the ECM-Ghost connects to the PC via USB port/connector. At this point the ECM-Ghost software running on the PC will ask you what's the year make and model. After choosing from a vehicle list, the software looks for the specific re-flash module for your particular vehicle (the one you just picked), downloads the engine management software module into the ECM-Ghost and voila!!! You're done. Then all you do is disconnect the ECM-Ghost from the PC, re-connect it to the vehicle and crank the engine. For all practical purposes this is a true universal ECM. The unit is designed to allow you to start the engine and verify your fault. It is not meant to for you to drive the vehicle on the road. The re-flash files made for your specific vehicle are not the same re-flash files used to re-flash the vehicle's ECM when it is replaced. The ECM-Ghost flash files are specifically designed by us and and meant for the ECM-Ghost.
Another great feature of the ECM-Ghost is that it comes with a full universal ECM/PCM cable adapter set. With the universal cable set you don't have to purchase any other ECM specific cable. But, for those repair shops or high level techs where speed is of the essence, the ECM-Ghost can also be purchased with a series of ECM specific connectors, made to fit the particular ECM found on your problem vehicle. The end result is a flexible unit that gets the job done. Stay tune for further information on this product as it reaches the launch date.

The NO-START/Intermittent MASTER POD
(Coming Soon!!!)
The NO-START/Intermittent MASTER POD is a one of a kind piece of equipment. This unit is specifically designed to detect, capture, analyze and diagnose NO-Start and Intermittent problems. How often have you been faced with the issue of a customer that brings his/her vehicle to your shop with an intermittent fault and you have to give the car back because "It Doesn't Do It Now" or its not doing it at this point in time. Well the NO-Start/Intermittent MASTER POD is the answer to this problem. Previous attempts to design and market something like this have failed, due to the lack of intelligence behind the unit. We at Automotive Diagnostics and Publishing rely on real world automotive diagnostics experience to design and make our units. The NO-Start/Intermittent MASTER POD is an 8 channel systems that easily connects to various components on the engine. Then you press only one button, set the software to detect mode and start the engine. That's it; you're done. The unit will go into fault detect mode and waits as long as necessary until the engine stalls or acts up. At which time a whole array of software formulas will capture, store and analyze the signal. All this will happen in a few milli-seconds. At the and, a complete fault report will give the technician all the information, tips, and reports so as to develop a diagnostic path. Remember, we are talking about an intermittent fault that would otherwise be discarded by your shop due to being un-repairable. All after-test diagnostic reports and information will be given in an easy to read and understand format. Fast, easy and trouble free.
If a NO-START condition is what you have, then don't despair. The NO-Start/Intermittent MASTER POD can help. The units internal software is also designed to detect No Start conditions and provide the technician with fast and preliminary information to either reach a diagnostic conclusion or get you a whole lot closer to it. When it comes to no start intermittent faults, this unit will get you through the repair process faster than it's ever been possible.

The VIRTUAL ELECTRONIC BREAKOUT BOX, SIGNAL INJECTION and SENSOR SIMULATION UNIT
(A 104 Channel Multiplex Oscilloscope/Sensor Simulator and Signal Injection Unit)
The design and implementation of this humongous undertaking marks our strong philosophy of designing and making intelligent diagnostic equipment that everyone can use. The Virtual BOB, as we'll call it, is a 104 Channel fully multiplexed signal fault detection unit that connects between the ECM, TCM (transmission computer, ABS and BCM computer of most vehicle systems. The unit will be fully automated from the start. For example: if the repair shop or tech encounters a difficult repair problem with the engine system, all the he/she has to do is remove the ECM, connect the T-BLOCK adaptor for that ECM to the wiring harness and then re-connect the ECM. The block adaptor is linked to the PC or Laptop through a cable. Then the technician starts the vehicle, chooses the proper vehicle year, make and model, presses a button and done. Virtual BOB will then test all the ECM pins for proper signal, power feed, grounds and match the signal data to hundreds of preprogrammed parameters, resolve dozens of calculations and comes up with an entire report for each ECM pin. Each report will be full of tips and information that will lead the tech to the right diagnostic path and final decision. The beauty of Virtual BOB is that it's all done automatically. Imagine running an entire battery of tests on all ECM pins in a maximum of 40 to 75 seconds. That's diagnostic power. A full built-in connected software oscilloscope will also be part of the unit.
A second feature of Virtual BOB is the ability to inject a signal to the ECM using the PC. For example: Imagine that after running multiple tests on all the ECM pins, you discover that the CRK sensor signal is low in amplitude or missing completely. Virtual BOB has in its internal database the actual sensor signature for all vehicle makes and models. It knows what a CRK sensor signal should look like for the vehicle you're testing. Then all you do is press a button and instruct Virtual BOB to inject the right CRK sensor signal to the ECM (sine or square wave). This is done at the correct amplitude and frequency. At which time the tech will crank the engine and verify that the engine starts. At the very least, the engine will try to start or backfire, which is an indication that spark is being produced and the CRK sensor should be replaced. This is a simply scenario using the CRK sensor, but the diagnostic possibilities are limitless.
The Virtual Electronic Breakout Box, Signal Injection and Sensor Simulator Unit is a one and only piece of equipment that will allow repair shops and technicians to do days worth of electrical measurements in a blink of an eye. ALL THIS AT A PRICE THAT WILL NOT BREAK THE BANK. That's a promise.
