The TransDoctor is a complete PC based automated transmission shifting device as
well as a full transmission solenoid electronic break-out box. The unit allows
the technician to perform in-depth diagnostics on all modern electronically
controlled transmission. By utilizing the power of a modern PC or Laptop the
tech is able to shift the transmission, on NON-Shifting units, and verify
if the problem is hydraulic or electrical. If the TransDoctor is able to
manually shift the unit, then you know the problem is not in the hydraulics or
hard parts. So you'll have to concentrate on the electronic sensors, TCM/PCM or
wiring harness. Here too the TransDoctor is able to verify the entire electrical operation and function of
each unit. Employing extensive use of computer CHARTING and GRAPHING, as well as
"Intelli-Unit Technology", you'll be
able to see all shift solenoids, pressure solenoids, and switches in operation
and perform a series of automated tests on them.
The unit is fully automated so it'll automatically detect any OPEN or
SHORTED electrical component, with the click of a button. The TransDoctor
will also have an extensive database of transmission related information, within
the actual software itself. Basically the entire Transmission Troubleshooter
software, found in this site is included with the TransDoctor.
With all this amount of features and gadgetry you're
probably asking yourself, how difficult it must be to use? Not at all. It's
all automated and ready for you to simply click a button. The TransDoctor has an
entire battery of transmission specific connectors, so that you're always ready
to test these units. Coverage includes most of the modern
electronically controlled transmissions on the market now. Worried about the
future? don't despair, this unit will never be obsolete. All you do is update
the computer software and you're done. These software updates will be reasonably
priced. That's a promise.
The TransDoctor has 5 diagnostic sections, with
other subsections. PLUS the Transmission Troubleshooter software is also
built-in. The unit also comes bundled with a Universal Cable Set and Impedance
Adapter, this way you may use it right out of the box on any modern
transmission. Dedicated cables are also offered and sold separately. The five sections are:
Transmission Specific automatic shifting lets you
shift the transmission by pressing Up-Shift and Down-Shift buttons. The whole
section is fully automated and adapts to the specific transmission that you're
working on. Included in this section is a solenoid digital feedback voltage
readout for each solenoid, letting you know right away if the wires are broken.
Full fledged voltage waveform feedback readout,
with digital readout as well. Use the power of the PC to its fullest. This
section gives a quadruple voltage graphing multimeter chart of the solenoid
feedback voltage. The scope-like charts are fully automated. No setting is
necessary and they adapt to the specific transmission that you have.
Completely automated open and short finding
section. That's right!!! In this section simply press a button and the
TransDoctor performs a fully automated test of all shift solenoids. The unit
will actually shift each solenoid, measure, record and analyze the voltage
output. It then gives the result as in an OPEN/SHORT or pass/fail, as well as
the min. and max. voltage levels. Within this section you can also manually
shift each solenoid for an extended period of time. This feature allows the tech
to stress each solenoids and allow a possible intermittent problem to surface.
ISS and OSS graphing chart section allows the tech
to simply connect and view the Input Speed and Output Speed Sensor signal,
without any hassle at all. The two ISS/OSS voltage graphing charts are fully
automated.
The 5th section is a fast pulse cleaning section.
This section allows the technician to fast pulse each solenoid, while increasing
to 2500 or so RPM. The combination of high pressure and high solenoid actuation
rate often times forces dirt and debris out of the solenoid fluid passage. This
section also serves to stress out the solenoid and allow the problem to surface.
All this features plus a huge wealth of
information found in its internal database (Transmission Troubleshooter
included). The software allows you to go back and fourth between information
database and electronically test the transmission until the problem is found,
the intermittent component is made to fails, or the broken wire/circuit is
detected and repaired. The TransDoctor comes with a universal cable set and adapter.
Each transmission specific cable can be ordered separately. IMPORTANT: We can custom make any cable and software
module if needed. Our products are the only ones on the market whereby you deal
directly with the software developer and tool designer. If you work on odd or
rare electronic transmissions, we can custom make any cables and create an
add-on software module as per your specification. It's that simple. All custom
made software modules and cables have to be pre-paid and may take up to 4 weeks

Cable SET" and the IMP-1000-Impedance Match Adapter box. The IMP-1000 is made to

fully compatible will all modern transmissions and it's included.
